When a customer visits your web site and place an order, use one of your contact forms, or make a support request, the most common way to deal with that information is to have it emailed and then manually extract the needed data. Dealing with data manually is both slow, and error prone.

 

Message Parse works to automate this process as shown in the diagram below.

 

 

When you use message parse, the email is captured by the software (or imported from your email program) and then only the data you need is extracted (parsed) into a usable form. The software can save the imported information as a cvs file for easy import into a spreadsheet or other programs; or it can connect directly to databases such as Access or SQL.

 

Message Parse has been designed with simplicity in mind. Although it does have capabilities to perform complex extractions based on rules that you setup, we've designed it to be simple for anyone to use. With features like a template wizard, variable message sources, and a variety of available output formats, it is simple to setup and it will automate the process of data extraction for you.

For most customers, setting up Message Parse is as simple as walking through the template wizard. With the wizard you walk through six steps: Msg Filter, Output File, Msg Fields, Data Variables, and Variable Options. As you walk through the process you are given clear instructions, and if any further help is needed the software comes with a complete user manual that goes in-depth into message parsing and how to set it up to fit your business needs.

For users that require more functionality, a template can be set up or edited to fit any need. Active X scripts can extend functionality, and it is also very simple to set the software up to interact with your Access database, Defined Database, or standard SQL based database.

 

Message Parse allows you to setup how messages are retrieved, quickly and easily. It can be connected to a dedicated POP3 account (or many of them), or it can easily be setup to import messages from Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape or Eudora-based email programs.

 

This ensures that no matter how you currently check your email from form submissions, Message Parse can be integrated easily. It can also be setup for multiple accounts to create as many import-export accounts as you need.

 

You can have Message Parse check your messages for you and then extract the required data from each message and have it exported into the format(s) that suits your needs.

 

Once you've setup Message Parse, this process basically becomes automated; the data is imported, extracted according to rules you setup, and saved to the formats(s) you require. The whole process requires little interaction from you. Really it's as simple as opening the program and clicking Parse All!

By simply editing a template you can define how data variables are retrieved and stored. This puts you in full control of which data is extracted from any given email. You can also control how that data is output to your files. Really you are in control!
